WHO IS BEHIND JCA
Our logo, the three stars, represent the owner, Jo McGill, and her two daughters, Cari Marie Glancy and Abbie Marie McGill. Before the doors to JCA opened, for six years these three ladies ran one of the most successful after school dance programs in Butler County, Ohio (at last count 180 elementary students were enrolled).
In 2002, JCA Dance Academy became a reality. Although we are "young" by business standards, we defy that term when it comes to experience. For years Jo was studio director for one of the largest and most notable dance studios in our area while her daughters were students at same. Working daily in the everyday tasks of scheduling, billing, costuming, running recitals, working as a liason between teachers and parents and comforting every bump and bruise helped prepare her for ownership of JCA. Cari and Abbie lended their expertise and professionalism teaching dance classes.
Our teaching staff has expanded with the addition of Andrea Hamilton and Megan Schmitz. With the strengths of these young ladies we now offer tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, musical theater and pom dance for both recreational and competitive students. Each instructor truly enjoys working with children and has a passion for teaching.
This year we were able to move to our Holiday Drive location. Besides offering more curb appeal, we were able to open two dance rooms, a comfortable parent viewing area and a small lobby. Generous off street parking permits for easy access and the surrounding neighborhood proves inviting for our parents to walk when weather permits.
Because our studio director has been a "dance parent" of both recreational and competitive dance students it helps her relate to issues which may be of concern to you. We take great pride in keeping all students knowledgeable regarding studio events. Those considering a move to competition are encouraged to have a one-on-one with the studio director, attend a competition and know all the facts before auditioning.
Many of our dance students have contributed to professional productions, local theater productions, are members of the award winning Choraliers of Fairfield High School, have joined cheerleading and dance teams and have moved on to become dance teachers. Their experiences at JCA Dance Academy have provided the confidence and knowledge of dance to make these dreams possible.

We would like to say thank you to Chelsea Fauver for all her years at JCA Dance Academy. This fall Chelsea will be attending the University of Cincinnati as a full time student. She will be unable to return to teach. We will miss her energy and
talent but wish her well in her future endeavors!!!
